This place is so homey and gives off such a warm and welcoming vibe. The portions are HUGE!!! I swear it didn't even look like I ate anything by the end of dinner. My partner and I have already visited multiple times at this point and every time the service has been inviting and polite-- super busy, but still accommodating and patient. Definitely recommend getting their meatballs and tortellini with pesto cream sauce!

Great service, for sure make reservations because wait times are long and they have to be made 24 hrs in advance. The food was great, the portions though are big. A calzone is not your average size lol it'll probably feed like 2.5 people. The atmosphere was also great, there was someone playing an instrument which was pretty cool,he was playing some good tunes. They also have wine, beer and cocktails. Overall, I will definitely be coming here more often. I loved the experience.

So this place is definitely a popular spot. Make reservations unless your like me and have no problem sitting in the bar/ lounge area. My raviolis were to die for!!! And the portions were generous. This place is great for any occasion. They even had a gentleman going around playing music on an accordion. Will be back for sure!

Overall, we liked Nonna Emilia and would visit again. I feel like it is more 3.5 stars vs 4 based on our visit. It smelled amazing walking in, and the staff was pleasant and efficient. They have a variety of items on the menu. We ordered the Apple to her trio, a create your own pasta (sauce Emilia which is meat and Alfredo mixed), and vongole with bacon cream sauce. I also had a pesto Caesar salad. The appetizer came out and it's just fried frozen zucchini, mozzarella sticks and calamari. The calamari was the best, but it was clearly frozen. Zucchini wasn't cooked on both sides and had no flavor. Mozzarella sticks were standard frozen cheese sticks. Neither of us liked the ranch but the marinara sauce was good. The salad came out, and I'd give that 5 stars if I could. I am obsessed and will be craving that salad again and again. So good. The pastas came out, and I probably should have read reviews. The portions are massive. For the price. You get your moneys worth for sure. The taste was good too- I liked both pastas, despite only being able to eat a couple bites. I am looking forward to leftovers of my dish, and my dad liked his leftovers today too. I wish they offered half portions, or even a sampler plate of pasta. If I'm getting that much pasta for leftovers I would've liked to try the meat sauce solo, the Alfredo solo, and the pesto cream. But overall, it was a good experience ce, good food. And we will be back!

Great experience at Nonna's last night. We had not been there in too long, as I live in Seattle and was visiting daughter in Hillsboro. The restaurant remains to be one of our favorites, and definitely the best Italian food in the area. Our server, Diane, (29 years at Nonna's was simply terrific. She was extremely helpful with ordering and just a lot of fun. She even offered me her reading glasses as I left mine in the car. We arrived at 5:15, and there were a few tables open, but they wanted to wait a minute to seat us, and the foursome behind us were told 15 minutes. They were waiting for a server to come on at 5:30. Hmmm? The food was excellent. My daughter had the Carbonara and I had the Chicken Piccata. The servings were huge, but they will be great left overs. We had the antipasto plate and my daughter had the minestrone soup. I had the house salad and all were terrific. I have heard from friends that they have negative feelings about Nonna's because the antipasto plate and the soup/salad are now ala carte. Oh well, as they are worth it. The scrumptious garlic bread is still included and it was perfect as well. Of course we had to have some Chianti and it was a great touch. I also wanted to mention that the busser was extremely friendly and efficient. He was always available with a smile when ever anyone needed anything. Thank You Nona Emilia for a great visit...and we will be back.
